Our Story
In 1998, now cofounders, Chris and Kelly Phillips first met while working in the hospitality industry. After many years in the field, Chris began training alcohol awareness classes in a local restaurant. The training business at the time was filled with dull, out-of-date material, and it did not engage the seasoned veteran in the field.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, there was only one company providing training services, and classes were limited to once per month in any given area. As you can imagine, if you missed one opportunity for a class, you would have to travel to another city, or county to be trained.
Chris, with aspirations of one day owning a business, the experience, and knowledge, as well as recognizing the need; in November 2001, AIM to Serve was born.

From the beginning, Chris and Kelly sought to impact and change the alcohol awareness industry by providing convenience, choice and consistency.

AIM to Serve began providing more local classes, in more cities, and at the same time and location every week. Our top priority is to provide engaging content relative to the challenges of a seller or server of alcohol, and also make the material fun!
By 2010, AIM to Serve was the #1 training program for server permits in Tennessee. In 2018, we stepped into the digital world, creating its first online class. Looking back over the years, AIM to serve changed the landscape of responsible alcohol training by putting students first by listening to what they need to be successful in their industry.
